This is actually a very funny movie!

I've always loved this film and I hate it how people bash it and label it as lame and unfunny. I have a broad sense of humour and I think this is a very clever, fun film. It's criminally underrated in my opinion.

As someone who grew up watching the show every Friday night, then watching it in afternoon reruns for god-knows how many years, I found this movie absolutely hilarious. It's a movie that parodies itself and the funniest part is that Sherwood and Lloyd Schartz, the original creators/producers of the Brady Bunch, were involved with this project. No one better to spoof them than themselves and I suspect they had a lot of fun doing so.

You can tell the writers had a lot of fun making this movie, and the actors too. They were pretty smart to make a satire of The Brady Bunch rather than just doing a straight comedy, or worse, an adaptation of the show. Jokes are full of double-entendres, innuendos and humor that is lost on kids. I think a lot of people didn't understand why the movie was made this way and can't see past the corniness of the Bradys.

I thought it was hilarious; just saw it for the first time in over 10 years a few days ago.

I liked this movie when I was little and it was on FilmFour a few weeks ago and I still enjoyed it but this time I got the satire haha.

Jan Brady is the best, even her facial expressions made me laugh. It's totally happenin in a far out way. oh yeah!

I just saw it this weekend, it can be a little dry at times, but it is funny. Especially the scenes with Jan.

I think that the only people trashing the movie are the ones who didn't grow up with the original show. I love how they filmed it. The scenes in the back yard and garage/driveway is obviously in a studio with fake grass, multiple light locations and shadows, no background noise, etc. The minute Cindy steps through the hedge next door, it's filmed in the real world with grit, noise, bad lighting, and so on. Brilliant!

When this movie came out, I was in elementary school. >D I saw it in the theater but didn't understand certain parts of it. (Even if I was an almost religous Nick-at-Nite follower at that time watching Brandy Bunch re-runs...) But now that I'm older, I can really appreciate the comedy in this movie. It is pure genious and it is super funny. I love all the parodies in this movie. Imagine the Brandies living in the 2000s? >D That'll be even funnier with cell phones, smaller cars, the internet, and McMansions.

It's just a shame that I never got a chance to re-watch this movie until, well, right now (since it's on TBS and I'm DVRing it. Mwahahah...)! It took me 14 years just to watch this again? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

Agreed wholeheartedly, cryofry. PS: You're kind of happening in a far out way.

Ya, I love this movie! I just watched it for the first time in about 10 years and it was too funny! I was 10 when this came out so I didn't understand a lot of the jokes but re-watching it as an adult, I love it! Anyway, I'm done rambling, I've got to go because "something suddenly came up!" Lol ;-)

I just watched it again and I haven't seen it in years. I'm going through a Brady phase right now. I love watching the show on Hallmark and so I got the movie out tonight and watched it. I loved it even more now than I did years ago when I first saw it! Really great and underrated movie!

I'm watching an old episode of The Brady Bunch, it's the one where Jan has a problem.

I've never actually heard anyone bash this movie & have heard a lot of praise for it so can't believe its low IMDb rating. I'm 57 & grew up with the Bradys so I think I can say the actors nailed the parts perfectly, and the casting was truly inspired--I never cared much for Shelley Long before this but she's perfect as Florence Henderson playing Carol Brady!
