Stallone was quite lifeless, but Banderas did a fantastic job of injecting his character with a lot of energy and intensity.
This movie is worth watching, becuase Banderas was having a good time, and it showed. I had a fun time watching his character.
Stallone was solid and Banderas good as aspiring #1.

Stallone played his character...a burnt out, saddened, and resentful hitman. His character is meant to be lifeless. While Banderas played the exciting, energetic, and nieve rookie. They both acted great...Banderas just had the more exciting role.

I agree, Banderas's performace was deffinately the best! Julianne Moore was also really good! Stallone was barely talking like he was about to die in 5 seconds. Banderas and Julianne Moore were great though!
shareAgreed, Sly was good but Banderas completely stole this film, he owned everytime he was onscreen. Loved Julianne Moore in here as well. It's funny, it kinda reminds me of Demolition Man, where Wesley Snipes' character Simon Phoenix completely steals the film from Stallone's character everytime he's onscreen in that film. Now, both Snipes & Banderas will be in Expendables 3, I can't wait to see that one. Bain & Phoenix.
