I was about 12 in 1995, when the series sttared so I was pretty young when I began watching The Outer Limits. I didn't even know it was a Canadian series until a few years ago, but I remember alot of the old ones like Heist with a young pre-Saving Private Ryan Barry Pepper and that pretty freaky epsiode with Brent Spiner who played Data on Star Trek: The Next Generation. I also remember there was another epsiode where aliens had abducted a street block or something, can't remember precisly. But of all my absolulte favorite of all times is Abduction. Not only because I'm in love with Meghan Ory (SP) but because it is a very, very good lession about school shootings that I think all people adults and kids alike should watch. Heck why not even show it to a high school class and get then to discuss the topics that the epsiode presents. Anyways, I like sharing, so what's yours? Another one I also liked stared John Spencer from the West Wing and Micheal Ironside it was called "Summit".
possibly the episode in which wil wheaton (also from star trek) destroys the earth and presumably dooms all mankind! remind me of the name of this episode if anyone can - thanks!
The one with Ensign Ro in it, second season first episode, A Stitch In Time. No monsters, just conflict within people. This one could stand with any of the originals.
My personal favorite episode was "Lion's Den". As a high school student I found it hilarious to see the wrestling team turn into a pack of monsters and slaughter their competition.
"A Stitch In Time" is my favorite Outer Limits episode. Michelle Forbes (Ensign Ro) was very good as agent Jaime Pratt but the real star was Amanda Plummer who played Dr. Theresa Givens. In fact, Amanda won an Emmy Award for this performance. I just finished watching this episode about 20 minutes ago. One of my favorite time travel stories ever, ranking right up there with "The Time Machine" films and various Star Trek episodes. If you haven't watched this episode lately, watch it again. It's great every time!!
I just saw this episode, I really enjoyed it! I'm a bit unclear about the ending though, could you clarify it for me?
Well, this question is pretty old but...
In the end, the professor changed her own past and so, does not use the time machine to go back and kill killers before they kill. But the cop has lost her girl friend so she now has to get the time machine and go back.

My fav was "Relativity Theory" because it one of those stories in which could so easily( and frightengly) come true considering the recent global warming scare (not to mention some scenes bear resemblence to america before and after the iraq war)and the fact that were quickly running out of resources ourselves.

No.The aliens were the Vorak and they weren't enslaving humans. They were advanced beings who we are supposed to belied are basically amateur self-designated Universal Anthropologists who have taken it upon themselves to devote their lives to rediscovering abandoned planets and repopulating them with the native species-in this case man. It's a little ham-fisted approach.Superior beings should be able to find Libraries,Museums, etc. and go through written works interpreting what happened and where to bring mankind down. They could measure radiation, growth rings, rainfall and build a safe area for humans .Why would the baby be left unattended in a crazy form plastic crib with a blanket, pampers, and hot lights in a lighthouse? Can you say geodesic dome? Why are they chipping frozen heads out of the ice and putting them in a suitcase? No slides available? Still, these may be the retarded aliens from planet Rethuglitroyd. They mean well and have sworn not to honor their Orange Pledge to vote for Darn Old Dump.
Oh yeah! that was a superb episode, there are quite a few I consider to be my favorite of all time I can't seem to settle on any one of them.
Double Helix & Origin of Species Love these sequels they were so unexpected back then Final Exam Summit The Voice of Reason & A Special Edition I loved the way they tied together all the previous Episodes and make it look like it all happened in the same world The Conversion & Music of the Spheres 2 of the few happy endings Quality of Mercy & The Light Brigade 2 of the most depressing episodes I've ever seen First Anniversary The Deprogrammers The Sentence The Camp New LeaseWhat an unfortunate ending The Human Operators& The Shroud I think this was pretty much the last great episode they made
Dammit when are they gonna have a proper DVD release

I liked the double helix one but havent seen origin of the species - hands down though - the one with kevin nealon doing the time travel research - awesome.
The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.
Probably ;3rd Feasibility Study-Great story, great twist and great scene where the aliens yank the housing estate into the sky.2nd The Light Brigade-Practically a mini movie with great SFX and Robert Patrick on top form as the evil Skokes.1st A Stitch In Time-best Time travel story ever {IMO} and Amanda Plummer superb as Dr Givens. The scene where the Time travel room dematerialises is excellent!
I forgot a good one I just saw, it was set on a colony, but in the end the colonies gets destoryed and reinhabited by the very same aliens who were walking amoungts the human in the first place.
The one with the freaky boarding school that turned kids into mindless slaves was good.
I saw the one the other night, 'The Stream' I think it was called (even if it's the wrong name I think you'll know which one that is) and it was the first OL episode in ALOT that I've seen that had a happy ending! I didn't know they existed in this show!
Don't know the name of it, but the one with the "nanobots" is fantastic! I've only seen it once, and I don't know if I'd want to see it again (the eyes in the back of the head thing still freaks me out!)- but I loved it!
I"ve got that on VHS taped from the TV about 6 years ago.The b*****ds who run the BBC used to stick the NOL on if the cricket finished early,so you never knew exactly which episode would be shown or when!Great story, great twist.
Human operators by far, beautiful beautiful and beautiful, the actors was great, the plot was pretty simple but touching, could give a great movie and the actress polly shanon it's terrific hot
"Vanishing Act", I remember it still though I only saw it once, 9 years ago. I've spent the last hour going through the episodes (on the net) and the next step is to decide where to buy the first two seasons.
"Inconsistent Moon" is another episode that stuck to my mind. AND the episode with Harlan "I won't die" Hawkes!
I THINK THE BEST EPISODE IS THE NEW BREED WITH THE NANOBOTS THAT IS WICKED OTHER GREAT ONES ARE TRIBUNAL,FIRST ANNIVERSARY,BREAKING POINT,THE GUN,THE HUNT,AND THE SENTENCE! AWESOME!
The ending is depressing but you really never saw it coming.
_________________________________________________________ I was completely amazed by this episode. I wish that all of the series could compare with the several exceptional stories. I also liked dead man's switch, Inconsistent moon, summit, and anyone help with this one? There is an expedition to an alien world. The group determines the aliens to be hostile, but all along they were just like a boy scout troup of aliens. The episode ends with a ship coming out of warp in sight of earth. Then you just see the weapons firing up. I wish they would make at least a best of dvd with these episodes.
68. Relativity Theory season 4 . Its a gooder! *** THIS IS NOT MY FAV. I AM JUST REPLYING TO A QUESTION POSTED ***
I dont think I can pick a favorate... all I can say is that some of these episodes completely suck and are a waste of time ( the rare few ) and some of them completely blow me away!
3. Tribunal. (Same as #4, plus I liked seeing the Nazi kill "himself".)
2. Tempests. (This was the first Outer Limits episode I ever watched. I've never cared much for spiders and seeing the ending gave me one of those all-over body shivers.)
1. The Conversion. (I don't know why this is my all-time favorite. It just is.)
This will spoil the ending if you ever see it (and I can't do the creepiness justice here.):
First, so what I have to say will maybe make a little sense, here's the offical episode synopsis:
***************** "The Tempest, a rickety old spaceship piloted by space colonists John Virgil and Captain Parker, is on a mission of mercy. It is ferrying two bigwigs from Earth, Dr. Vasquez and Governor Mudry, along with a lifesaving vial of serum. Both passengers and serum are going to the Tabloss Colony, where an epidemic of Ellysia C is devastating the population.
But things go horribly wrong when the ship shifts down from lightspeed and crashes somewhere in space. As he attempts to repair the ship, Virgil is bitten by a strange spider-like creature and passes out. When he awakens, he finds himself sliding between two equally convincing realities.
Is he battling for his life against the deadly Ellysia C, having already delivered the serum and saved the colony — including his beloved wife and their young son — from certain death? Or is he alive, trapped in a spaceship in the middle of nowhere, with no way out? Or are both realities merely hallucinations, one man's desperate attempt to find hope and heroism in a situation too bleak to face directly?" *****************
OK NOW FOR THE ENDING SPOILER:
At the end of the show, they show that he, along with everyone else, is actually still inside the spaceship.
And an alarm is repeating over and over "Warning, biohazard, airlock 3."
And the place is crawling with these huge spiders.
And they have the entire crew encased in cocoons, except for their heads.
And the spiders are "feeding" off them at the center of their chests.
And to keep them mostly alive and docile the spiders also inject some sort of psychosomatic compound into the "wound", which makes the main character hallucinate. (This part, if I recall correctly, is explained earlier in the episode.)
It fades out with the main character, eyes wide open, repeating over and over "I saved them, I saved them."
That may not seem creepy to you, but did I mention I have this disliking for spiders?
