Showtime SD channel is free for me (I have Frontier Communciations FIOS out here in SoCal) but I don't know if Showtime's offering for free on other carriers.

I think it was very earnest in it's badness. It knew exactly what it was and embraced it. Poorly constructed, poorly acted, badly written, terrible special effects...yet almost impossible to stop watching.
