scott shoudl be glad lauras divorced him

that boy hair cut she had

You think boys have bob hairstyles?

It wasn't that short at the beginning. She does have shorter hair later in the film. I do know a woman my age with short hair and she looks good with it. I guess it depends on what a person's face looks like.

It goes way beyond her bad sense of fashion. They divorced because Laura is a moron who gets worked up over the littlest thing, and Scott was too much of a workaholic to be a good dad (at least before he turned into Santa). The fact that she chooses a loser like Neil to replace Scott just shows what happens when your taste in men goes downhill after a divorce. Frankly, I'm surprised Neil wasn't the one wearing the skirts in the house, because Laura sure as hell wouldn't.

You can't believe how much I hated Laura! Even if Scott had his flaws too, she was truly a bitch.

I never exactly hated her. It was more Neal's influence on her that made her act like a jerk. Like Neal telling Charlie Santa was more an idea than a person. Then Neal near the end saying Charlie who is only like 6 years old is too old to believe in Santa. If anything maybe she is a bit messed up for not standing up for her beliefs and just letting Neal have his way with everything. Though they did all become better at the end.

This was interesting, because I just can't remember that her husband was that bad at all.
But it must been like twelve years since I saw this movie, so I guess I might have forgotten some things.

Spoiler for the sequel below.

Scott was no prize either. When reading to his son, Scott couldn't wait to finish the book and he couldn't wait for Charlie to fall asleep. I've read to both my sons when they were kids and I cherished every moment. What I wouldn't give to be able to go back in time for an hour and do that again.

In the third movie (I know, not canon but it's consistent) we see Scott's alternate life when Jack Frost arranges for Scott to never have been Santa. We see a man who never saw his son, whose indifference to his divorced family ruined his wife's second marriage, and was generally a no show. It's not hard to imagine he wasn't any better when married to Laura.

Like in Mrs. Doubtfire, we see Scott turned into a better human just as Daniel became a better man and father after his divorce from Miranda.
