I've cried I don't know how many times. There's something so real about what he says and how he says it to his little brother that catches me off guard every time I see it.
I really liked the movie a lot, and I have to agree with those that said the "Am Happy" scene contains the most emotion. Sorry for the personal info, but I lost my father, and when I see a father and son share a heart warming moment it makes me feel awful and amazing at the same time. Family is important, and I hope this movie helps remind others and myself that everyday.

I saw this movie in the theaters and you could hear the sniffles in the audience. That's a hard scene to watch.

God, I can't even watch this movie anymore. I'm a very dramatic/emotional person by nature, but to watch all of that violence and so many raw occurrences happening one after another, I start crying five minutes into the film! And if I do watch it, I always have to skip over Samuel's death. That's just way too much for me. And you're totally right: I think that quote really grates on the emotions. All of these actors are so good at what they do, and it's the fact that they make this performance so believable that I can't watch it anymore.

When Tristan enters the militairy base after his hunt for german scalps. One of the best scenes ive seen from pitt. plays it so well you can see the demon that awoke still isnt satisfied. Pretty awesome shot.
Well maybe not heartbreaking, but powerfull nonetheless.

I can cry pretty much throughout this entire movie but the one scene that brings me to tears the most would have to be the scene when Alfred and Susannah run into Tristan and Isabelle 2 with their kids in town. Being a woman I can only imagine the feeling of not being able to have kids and to run into the person you love and seeing his own kids.... And on top of it all his name is Samuel, the name she wanted to use if her and Tristan had a son. I can feel her heart tear in half in that scene. Such a powerful moment in the movie for me. Susannah was such a tragic character I just really felt for her throughout the movie.
Of course all the other scenes mentioned bring tears as well: "Am Happy" scene and Isabelle 2s death being among the most.
