Who else was obsessed with this as a kid/teen?

I was almost or had just turned 13 when I got this on VHS in 1994. I watched it almost every day, for months and months. I quoted lines from the movie all the time and probably made everyone around me sick with that. The humor was perfect for me just in the middle of puberty. Haha..anyone else?

I was 34, about Jim Carrey and leading gal Courtney Cox's age, just olderl I LOVE these earlier Carrey films.

Same.
I had watched it probably 10-20 times by the time I was 14.
I'm now in my 30s, and decided to rewatch it for the first time in 2 decades.
I now realize this movie has pretty much shaped me as a person.
A lot of my humor is based on Ace Ventura, such as when he lists all the facts about F.A.N. before sarcastically claiming that he has never heard of them. I do that all the time every time someone asks me about something which they don't know that I'm an expert of.

This movie was hilarious as a kid. I had it on VHS and my friends would watch a funny part, laugh hysterically, and rewind it so we could watch and laugh a second, third, fourth and fifth time. The part I remember laughing at the most was the insane asylum scene, especially when Ace speaks in reverse and then slams his head down on the park bench. Though, none of us understood the "Captain Winky" part at the end. We even thought "Captain Winky" was some sort of nasty condition, like an STD or something.
