speaking of old, vaguely creepy animated films

does anyone else remember an animated version of Dickens' David Copperfield, except all the characters were animals, and they worked in a cheese factory and there were there scary-ass purple globby people that lived under the factory?

I swear I'm not making it up. I remember watching it as a kid. There might have been music.

I can't find it on the IMDB and I'm trying to remember if maybe it had a title other than "david copperfield."

Does *anyone* know what I'm talking about?

I've been looking for that for the longest time too. I remember that from when I was little. I had it on tape a long time ago but I can't remember what happened to it. If I find out anything I'll message you.

Since we are on the topic I too am looking for an old and creepy cartoon. I don't know what it was called but the characters were a "blue" guy who wore a suit that was striped with black and white lines (kind of like beetljuice's suit) and had small beady yellow eyes. His wife was a chicken who wore an apron most of the time (I think) and they had a "pet" worm who had the face of a human. I don't think there was any voice acting in this. The parts that I remember from this was a part where there was a knock on the door and the chicken lady answers it and this "shadowy" looking man comes in and starts chasing the chicken lady around the kitchen. Another part is when the blue guy is just standing there facing the "camera" and then a ladybug starts crawling up his suit and onto his face. He then suddenly grabs it with his tounge (with the typical slurp sound) and eats it. Yeah that's most of what I remember seeing. I think there was music but I'm not totally sure. I remember never seeing this cartoon from the beggining. My family and I would just be flipping through the channels and come across it. Well anyways if anybody knows the name of this cartoon or knows anything about it please let me know. I appreciate any help.

Oh and to the topic creator, sorry but I don't know of the cartoon you are talking about.

I DO remember watching the cat version of David Copperfield at my Grandma's house.
Yeah, it was surprisingly sad.

Okay I'm nearly 6 years too late and I'm SURE you've found the movie you were talking about by now...but here it is: your old and creepy cartoon is called "His wife is a hen", a Russian short animation from the 80s. I saw it as a kid as well and it scared the *beep* out of me; it was incredibly odd and the animation borderline grotesque. Any creepy and psychedelic imagery usually frightened me a lot.

I remember this move as well way back when i was little, i had it on vhs... i can't for the life of me find it now :( I would like to see it again, to see if it was a scary as i remember.

Another crrepy animated story. I remeber my aunt showing it to me. The front cover showed the people on a flying bed. And there was this scene with like underground sewage coming up. I barely remeber it except it gave me nightmares. It was about a boy o something and this little man in a suit takes him to a magical kingdom. Please help. I know its not much info but I remeber the flying bed on the cover.

is this the one where they had to turn the nob on the bed post to start moving, i remember them going under the ocean at one point, and a creepy man with an umbrella under a bridge

When I was 6, Halloween is Grinch night was as creepy as heck... Probably, it would be enjoyable now. Also, the end sequence of Disney's Legend of Sleepy Hollow was pretty freaky.

But of course, I like some eerieness.
My schoolmates call me "The Vampire", because I dress in black and read H.P. Lovecraft at recess, and sometimes speak poetically... But I don't drink blood
