I've seen this movie 4 or 5 times and it always bugs me how Otto appears out of nowhere in the middle of the movie. He knows everyone, they all know him, but he wasn't around for the first hour. It seems like there's a scene missing.

shareI always wondered about Otto, too. I guess it's realistic, with guys coming and going from a platoon due to leave and wounds, but it does seem like something is missing here.
