'The panties?'

Does anyone else find that scene in the restaurant, you know where Zeke wants to see her underwear, unbearable to watch? It's one of the most cringeworthy scenes of all time. I think it would have worked so much better had the scene been in "91/2 Weeks" because it's just like something that John would have made Elizabeth do which would have made it believable. No offence to Baldwin, but he just can't carry a movie as the leading man. This movie and "Fair Game" more than prove that.

I thought it was fantastic and believable. she doesn't want to back down and lose but she is terrified. she's not really trying to sound sexy, she's just trying to be tuff, pretending to have nerves of steel, but really she's quaking. the scene is totally hot. it's the extreme discomfort of the situation that makes it so erotic.

I totally agree with you bmlogan. That's exactly what I want to see if I go to a very fancy resturant. Some bimbo undoing her top to flash people and taking off her underwear at the dinner table.

The guy who kept looking over at the couple was way more calm than I would have been.

Plus, like someone else said, Wm Baldwin was a complete light weight. He made Sharon Stone look Oscar worthy.

Actually there were several scenes in this film that lacked credibility. Nevertheless, I've probably watched SLIVER more than half a dozen times. For me it's great escapist entertainment and I have to say I think it's one of the sexiest mainstream movies I've ever seen. Believable or not, the restaurant sequence is one of my favorite moments in the film, and the scene that follows it, Zeke and Carly's tryst against a pillar, is even better...so steamy.

I've always liked it.

If you ask me (not that you did), it's underrated.

lmfao

I was really young when seeing this movie but we used to make jokes and mimic things from this movie.. like the way he said panties. Haha.

Or the "ohh Naomi" "ohh Naomi you smell so good". Unintentional comedy with tits and murder what more could you ask for?

How come even though she did it all very subtly the whole restaurant were aware of what she was up to?!

Two for flinching!

It made me laugh.
