Top ten reasons why this movie is a classic

10. $3 for a hot dog?!
9. John Candy taking a big bite of a hot dog
8. When the doctor gets his nose broken for being a goon
7. The fact that Gary Busey was in his coke days while making this movie is too good to ignore
6. Ignoring child labor laws
5. The black coach (i'm not calling him that to be racist i'm calling him that because i'm not going back to see his name)
4. Chets Stache
3. Henries stepfather glareing at Chet Stedman and getting incredulous when talking to Henry and his mom about moving to New York
2. Daniel Stern
1. The guitar sting we hear when "The Rocket" loses his pitch

I loved that guitar sting and u 4got another reason:

I have to admit I cracked up when Eddie Bracken thought he could buy 4 hot dogs for a dollar. I really liked Gary Busey in this movie, whether he was coked up or not. I did find Daniel Stern's character completely obnoxious though...he should have just stuck to directing.

Gary Busey gave the best performance. The part where he takes Henry in the car, and he says, “Don’t take this game so seriously. Because someday, it’ll all be over.” Great acting there
