If my wife was constantly acting this violent towards me at certain point or moment...

... I would no doubt, no matter how hard it might be (and if I sense any official difficulties, I would speed up and cheat myself out of this if I had to), I would DEFINITELY try to divorce or even escape and leave.

And I don't know how I would be able to handle say a car door angrily closed on my fingers (ouch!) or have my TV set destroyed like that.

Not blaming or anything about the lead Peter Strauss' character but this is what I would personally try and do.

And if any male or otherwise relative or someone close to me lectures me here about male "pride" - I would say, sorry, good bye and simply angrily slam the door yelling "Shut up!" and run away.
