Did any one else notice that Mr. Wilson looks alot like Saddam Hussein in the movie, I wonder what the Iraqis could say about this, they will probably be offended, in fact maybe this was done in purpose to upset Iraq, I m sure they banned this film over there
shareI saw this post and just had to write and say that fortunately, this is still a free country, and it really doesn't matter what anybody thinks about it. If they want to be 'offended' about anything we do over here, that is totally their problem, not ours. The whole 'offended' thing is just a ploy anyway to use our own laws, whenever possible, against us in order to propagate Islam. Don't fall for it.
shareActually Mr. Wilson, as portrayed by the late Walter Matthau, bears the best resemblence to the cartoon Mr. Wilson of any of the actors I have seen portray him.
shareExactly! Steve_smith is right, it wasn't the film's way of offending anyone! It was a director of a film trying to follow as closely to the original comic as possible! If you have trouble with Mr. Wilson's look, take it up with the comic (which came out in the early 50s, so im not sure that iraq was an issue...)
