First of all, relationships are not always about physical appearance...I can't believe that I even have to say that. Number two, it's possible that Connie has been ignored and teased by all the other boys at school because of her head and Ronnie might be the only guy she's met who doesn't care what her head looks like.

1st of all, not everyone on the planet thinks "fat slob" = horrible. If you see pictures of many Hollywood industry events, you'll see many couples where the man is nothing special and the wife looks like a plastic doll. Mixed looks couples are not unheard of so there is a way a Connie could end up with Chris Farley.

2nd, like someone else mentioned, there's more to attraction than outside looks. Anyone who isn't extremely shallow knows that.

Life is never fair, and perhaps it is a good thing for most of us that it is not.

I always figured that, being alien, she had different taste than most people would.

Same goes for Kristen Johnson's character on 3rd Rock From the Sun being attracted to Wayne Knight.
