Am I the only one who noticed this?

Now, I don't wanna anger the hard core Blood In Blood Out Miklo fans here but..is it me? or at the very end of the movie, after he's done telling the other Onda members they're going to be transferred to their home states and to "spread the Onda gospel, Billy Graham Style" when he is speaking to Magic Mike, he said something like "you will stay right here with me, you're the leg I don't have, the other half of mi corazon" and then the way Miklo and Magic looked at each other, and talked to each other...it seemed kind of gay to me. It was definitely hard-core prison bromance, but it did have a hint of gayness in it, that's what I think.

Now before any of you out there insult me, just remember that homosexuality is common in American prisons and perhaps this was the film maker's very subtle way of showing it. Also remember that Miklo is never showed having a girlfriend or even showing interest in a female throughout the film, even before he gets locked up. All he ever cares about is "fitting in with the boys".

Any feed back on this would be greatly appreciated. Am I the only one who is picking this up from the film?

Whenever a HOMOPHOBE opens it's SUCKHOLE and spews THIS amount of SICKENING TRASH it makes me wonder how many times his DADDY stuck it IN HIM!!! (It's been SHOWN that HOMOPHOBES really like to "RIDE THE BALOGNA PONY"... or if they haven't DONE IT yet they THINK ABOUT IT... and PROJECT IT onto EVERYTHING!!! It's NOT your fault Johnny! Just let DADDY know how much you APPRECIATED HIM!!! (Or was it your GRAMPA? Or your UNCLE???) LOSER!

Maybe on Magic Mikes side, but if you analysis the character of Miklo, he is stuck in the boyish mindset that his gang-brothers are his family, more so than his father. They are everything to him. "vatos locos forever man". He never outgrew that mindset.

Onda became his family. It had to survive even if it meant killing off the leader who was going to destroy it.

As for his homosexuality, we see nothing but hesitation to being touched, kissed, etc. He is on the receiving end but when he does gain power, we don't see him calling out any younger men.

I took it to be two different statements... "You're the leg I don't have" (meaning magic is his right-hand man, or rather, right-leg), and the next statement "The other half of mi corazon" (heart), which would seem kind of gay but I took that to mean that since miklo is half white half hispanic, and magic being his right hand man, he also fulfilled the non-chicano half of miklo's heritage, both of them together (in a non-gay way) could rule/lead successfully

I have a friend that did a stint in both Tracy and Repressa (Folsom) and he says rape and homosexuality wasn't prevalent at all and the way it's referred to is to scare people about prison life. He said raping was looked down upon, as well as open gayness. Maybe it was just those prison, but I believe him.
