So When does the show get good?

I'm not here to start a fight a troll. I only just started watching DS9. I just started season 3 and so far it's been kinda boring. Nothing of interest has really happened in the first 2 seasons. and the few episodes I seen on season 3 hasn't been that good, except maybe Odo finding his home world. and even then. I do plan to see the show to the very end. I just wonder why everyone likes DS9 show much. some people like it more the TNG.

To me, it never really got "good" good. Starting at season 3, it became watchable, but nearly all of the major characters ranged from average to really crappy. With the exception of Garak who is one of the best characters on any of the Trek shows. Worf was decent, and O'Brien was fairly likable, but other than that, everyone pretty much sucked.

I remember the excitement I felt when watching its first episode after it took over from TNG. But it actually ended up getting cancelled by my country's national broadcaster because of low viewing figures. Watched it all about 15 years later when Sky One were showing Trek every day at 5pm. The Dominion War was pretty decent except that I felt they wrapped it up all of a sudden after lots and lots of build up.

Thought it was fine but not spectacular. Think part of the problem for me was that I hated the Bajorans. Their appearance and their tiresome "we've been oppressed" sob story. Not what I wanted from sci-fi.

Just found TNG more fun, more futuristic and less grim.
