i know cheers is a classic but I got burned out by that show in the later seasons

I'd take Frasier over every other sitcom.

I also would take Frasier over cheers. Cheers seems very dated now with all of the early 80s stuff, where Frasier seems timeless.

Completely agree. I loved Cheers at the time, but Frasier is superior in every way, and hasn't aged a bit.

I agree and that's my biggest problem with Rewatching Cheers, it's still a good show but it feels so dated. I also think Frasier will continue to feel timeless.

Particularly how Sam was supposed to be a ladies man in the early seasons - who wore garish argyle socks with brown corduroys and plaid shirts.

Cheers definitely got better with time, but I would rate Frasier a better show - mire intelligent and more timeless, especially considering when you watch season 1 stuff you're watching a 23 year old production.

I would take Frasier every time. I couldn't stand Cheers and found it all but unwatchable. But at least it wasn't as bad as Friends.

I agreed on everything with you up to the last sentence! Friends is really another matter completely. It is rather silly but it has a lot of heart and very random jokes, which I really like.

I still agree though, how can anyone consider Cheers anything other than extremely cheesy and ignorant, I don't know.... considering 2 of the most intelligent and educated people in a group of losers ( Frasier and Lilith) as misfits and lame because of their intelligence and education is just an insult to evolution imo.

I love Cheers but don't enjoy it as much on rewatch. I find myself coming back to Frasier over and over and enjoying the same laughs.

I prefer Cheers but I'll say this - no character on Frasier annoys me as much as Diane or Rebecca.

Frasier is exceptional to me, while Cheers is mediocre.

They're equal to me. Which one I'd "take" depends on the day, mood, etc.
