Was this the last great Western??

I've seen a number of people list some great Westerns made since 1992. One I've not seen listed yet that certainly qualifies for me is The Quick and the Dead. It's great in every way that matters to me.

Hostiles is the most recent awesome western I can remember.

Well Tombstone came out a year later.

No. It was ok but it wasn’t great.

No Country For Old Men was a modern western.

Maybe so though, There have only been 3 Best Picture Oscars given for Westerns and this was the last of them Dances with Wolves (1990) and Cimarron (1931).

"Unforgiven" has some good things in it, mainly Gene Hackman, but it's overrated, and its pompous, specious message is a load of rubbish.
