Its not one of Drew's best movies... But I would buy it just becuase I'ma huge fan of hers. Its kind of a freaky movie.. Just read the summary it explains it pretty well.

Ivy was a bit psycho. I think she partly wanted a family(as she tells in the beginning that her dad doesn't want her) and partly wanted the status/money(since she's kinda trailer trash if you look at it).

It seemed to me that after Ivy pushed Georgie off the balcany that Ivy felt almost bad about what she'd done. She might have been just scared.

I think she did feel bad. I think that she really didn't want to do it.. she may have felt like she had to. I'm pretty sure she felt at least a little bit of guilt.

The film is actually quite well done regardless of the fact that it should have been made for television. Drew Barrymore gives an exceptional performance as does Tom Skerritt and I HAVE bought this film so in answer to your initial question somebody like me would buy the movie.

It is quite a bad movie, and I am not considering buying it. Only reason I would buy it is Drew Barrymore is so beautifully seductive I must admit.
