Jasmine's Age

I've been seeing pictures and articles on the internet talking about the Disney Princess's 'official' ages. Does anyone know if these really are official and if so where they come from? Jasmine's is listed as 15. Though I suppose that's before the birthday she has coming up in three days, it seems kinda wrong that 16 would be the MAXIMUM age by which she must marry. I know it's set in ancient Arabia but it's also a Disney movie.

NOBODY CARES if it "seems kinda wrong" to you, and this could be set in PRESENT Arabia (KSA) and they marry off 9 year old girls on a regular basis. Girls in an American equivalent elementary school talk about who got married and such, that's their gossip. The rebellious ones paint their nails, read western magazines, ride bikes (maybe in liberal areas), listen to western music, and go without covering their entire head in certain situations. The really naughty girls pretend they aren't on their period and don't use a cloth to turn the pages of the Qur'an and touch it with their bare fingers! A sin with devastating consequences if caught.

No, she wouldn't have dressed in such a way, that was for Western appeal, so kids wouldn't think it was strange that they couldn't see her face or hair without her being being accosted by her guards or governesses. This is present Arabia I'm still talking about. You mentioned Ancient Arabia like things have changed. About the only thing that has changed is that men don't quite as often have 10 wives, and they hate Americans more since we shoot them, you can't tell who is good or bad in guerilla warfare, it's bound to be family getting killed, you can't win the hearts and minds of people like that, it's all Islam, but we could write a book talking about that. Anyway, it's still legal to have more than one wife for any man though, man of any origin, even farmers and sanitation workers. Women aren't allowed to drive. They have entire professions for men to drive women around all day while the husbands work, they have water delivery trucks, and women generally can't leave the house unaccompanied by a man, a woman's testimony counts as 33.3% that of a man's, even as eye-witness. So suffice it to say rapes and murders are common. If you have a sister who loves a man, and sleeps with him unwed, it is your DUTY to MURDER her to redeem the family name. This is in the more conservative districts, but all the same that accounts for a large percentage of Islamic ways, more than 3/4. In either case she is shamed.

Men throw acid on women for rejecting them, and are unpunished. The only reason they were going to execute Sharia law on that one man a while back is because of the worldwide attention to that one particular case by the WHO or one of those organizations if you were thinking of that, otherwise it would have gone by unnoticed like the thousands of others. She was bribed by the government and the "good Imams" to forgive this man and show the world that they were "compassionate" people. Well, that's the truth, I believe that she was threatened that if she allowed the sentence be carried out her family would have been harmed. So all you kids out there that read this far, don't take this text for granted, even if you think I'm an idiot, at least you are allowed to read it, over there, not just in Islamic majority states and countries, but China, and Russia, and North Korea, they aren't allowed freedom to browse the internet at free will or anonymously, certain websites are selected for them to be allowed to visit. Those people grow up knowing nothing else but what was taught to them, so criticize the "Free world" if you want, that's your right, but be thankful you are allowed to at least, you have no idea how lucky you are to be born in a country where you have more freedom than any other on Earth. Check out North Korea and KSA, Read up if I haven't bored you enough on Aladdin's forum lol.

ISIS, IS (ISIL) Wants complete Sharia Law, and in the regions it controls it implements it without mercy. Women are required to done the full Hijab at all times, they are lower than the family dog in scale of respect. They are beaten at the husbands whims and desires, and treated as slaves in virtually all regards. If you were to think of slavery and what the books you read about American slavery in the 17th century, you'd have a small idea of how a woman lives over there, subtracting the manual labor and any lack of clothing part. There is an entire underground supply for women to purchase items that feign their "virtue" when married if they are not virgins, they can purchase packs that make it seem as if they are virgin, if the husband is sterile, it is blamed on the wife, and she is often outcast, to become the husband's slave to care for his elderly, as they don't have retirement homes there, the men done the responsibility of taking care of elder parents. So if the wife is wise and willing to take large safety risks she can be put in a room where a man will impregnate her, and the mother of the "sterile" man can be told it was a miracle worker who charmed the woman and will pay a great deal to her, usually a friend, or aunt, sister, etc.

This probably doesn't belong on Aladdin's forum, but that's the truth, go read some more about the customs of a very interesting people and religion. Read about Islam and not just KSA but the religions of the world, as they are the main precipitating factors of how people live on a daily basis. Christianity would be seen as how the U.K. and Americas live for instance, then you have the sub-layers and levels of extremism. Certain "Islamic" countries are quite liberal and very friendly good people, of course, just as America and Christianity they have their clusters of extremist groups who are unwilling to see life outside the box from which they were raised and are so close minded they will kill for their religion that says "don't kill".... Unless of course they won't convert, then kill, oh, the irony!

ALADDIN!! Of course she wouldn't be allowed to drive the flying carpet either.. that's obvious! Sorry for the L.A.P. Folks! I was going for a record if you made it through the whole thing I congratulate you, sorry for the grammar I type really fast and don't proof read! Peace!!!

I've wondered this too. If the carpet couldn't carry the huge rock whilst Aladdin and Abu were on their way out of the cave, but it can carry the Sultan heaven knows how old he is, then would it be able to carry Quasimodo? I'm asking because if Aladdin was at the Festival of Fools and witnessed the crowd tormenting Quasi with produce, would he be able to carry Quasi to safety? I know it was mentioned that Quasi was 20 when Frollo tried to kill him and when I see Quasi's appearance, I wonder if he'd be heavy to carry whether by the carpet or even by Peter Pan.
