We are as far removed from 1991 as 1991 was to 1972.
Time flies. I'm 27 and remember when the commercials were being played for this movie. Recently decided to watch it cause it was referenced on the daily show.
You smell like my dad in the 70s.
I'm still waiting for the 90s to look as fully old/outdated as I remembered the 70s looking then. Okay so the half of the decade this movie was released in is definitely feeling distant, but still, sometimes I can't help wondering if as much has changed over the last 20-25 years versus the prior 20-25. Then I realize however that people too young to remember the 90s probably do not regard that era as remotely "modern". Perhaps some older adults in the 90s might have even observed the 70s similarly to how I observe the 90s. I don't know. Time is a weird thing. (2004 was a decade ago??)
