What is the most depressing movie you have seen?
Naturally, I chose this one, but what do you think is on this list?
"Oh Look, a deli meat!"

I don't necessarily think this movie is depressing. Sad yes, but heartwarming in a nostalgic sort of way. This is what really happens in life though. Not the sugary sweet fluffy stuff Hollywood normally throws at us.
shareOh gosh, I usually cry in EVERY movie I see but I saw this movie for the first time a couple months ago and I didn't. I personally think that I have to go with A Walk to Remember or Titanic. If Ihad to pick a documentary I would have to pick Telling Nicholas. I cried when Nick's dad told him that his mom (who died in the 9-11 tradgedy) woouldn't be coming home. I do think though that A Walk To Remember was one of the saddest movies ever
shareYeah..."My Girl" is a great choice, it was so sad...but i liked the ending...with the ring turning blue, it was sweet.
I thought "Cold Mountain" was also sad.
I have a few.Every Lethal Weapon and the movie Conspiracy
Theory.
The Green Mile was the most depressing thing i have EVER watched.
Also My Girl, The Notebook, Legends of the Fall, and an episode of Dawson's Creek called "The Long Goodbye" (Dawson's Dad died...i will never watch it again!). Oh, and Walk to Remember.

I wouldn't quite say depressing, but emotional, yes...
The Last Samurai, for the obvious reasons, and you don't really know what happened to the Tom Cruise character, in real life. I cried when the son got killed. He was my favorite character in the movie. It was tears r us thereafter.
There's also Flags of Our Fathers, Letters From Iwo Jima, Stop-loss, the Diary of Anne Frank, Swing Kids, Crash, Seven Pounds, Brian's Song, Boyz N Tha Hood, Stella Dallas, Gone With the Wind (the book was even more so, cried for weeks after reading it), Road To Perdition (especially after Paul Newman didn't get the Oscar), Tupac Resurrection, Arlington Road, Romeo and Juliet (1968 version is the best filmed version), The Outsiders... I could keep going, but I'd never stop...

Schindler's List
The Bucket List
The Queen
Steel Magnolias
Snow Falling On Cedars
Saving Private Ryan
Valkyrie
and totally agree with Casper and My Girl.
