In the final scene, when Tre goes outside with what appeared to be breakfast finger food, what was it he was eating? Didn't appear to be chewing it...

I always thought it was pomegranate seeds. When Doughboy starts to walk away, Trey sets it on the porch in the napkin. It looks like it is red which makes me think it is a pomegranate. You can also see the white napkin is stained red.
