Hate Paulie

love rocky but this is bad, this fifth instalment is really bad, the weird angle camera shots, the teenage sort of dialogue, to think it has come to this after the legendary first movie, i usually only watch the scene where mickey returns in a dream sequence, that is the outstanding part of this movie, and yes, as usual the paulie role is unbearable, i like the actor though, but i just watched more of it last time it aired, and rocky v is even worse than i remembered it, and how it doesn't even have a real boxing match in it but rather a street fight where rocky takes on more the part of hulk hogan in rocky 3 than rocky, critics don't seem to like that third movie either, but i think it has great entertainment value, though this fifth movie ends up in the bottom of both fans and critics, by the way, there is a strong espn documentary about the real life boxer rocky is brawling with at the end of this. usually i don't like newer movies, but i have to say the 2006 movie really was a great improvement and an emotional sequel, the spin off a clever idea, and a fortune the franchise didn't end with this.

One thing I liked about him in this movie though, was at the end, when Tommy Gunn was trying to fight, Paulie got involved and was standing up for Rocky.

If I were in Paulie's position I would be happy to have things I never would have even been able to see from a distance let alone have!

It never made sense to me. It's not like Paulie ever tried to be a boxer or anything for that matter.

Paulie was at his worst during the odd-numbered movies. In the first movie he goes nuts with that baseball bat. In Rocky III he smashes up that pinball machine and goes to jail. In Rocky V he screws up and loses all their money.
