Julia is not conventionally beautiful. Her smile is a bit horsey, and she makes herself goofy when she grins baring her teeth like that or times when she wears too much makeup. She looks much better when she smiles more gently, or closed-lipped.

That said, she looked beautiful in "Sleeping with the Enemy". She's always been lovely in a way, but she never looked better than in that film.
Her hair was a bit too fluffy there, but she had a great body and sensual lips.

I have always thought that she was ugly as sin. Kinda has a horse face. She wasn't fat, but she had tiny tits, thin shapeless legs, no hips and no ass. And this movie is over 20 years old.... and she hasn't aged well.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion. IMHO, Julia Roberts is overrated, and just average looks wise overall. However, in this movie it was by far the best that she has ever looked. In this movie she was above average, but still nothing spectacular. I thought she did a good job in it though, as did Richard Gere and just about everyone else. Definitely a very good movie but yeah, Roberts is not all that looks-wise.

No ass? Really? I always thought Julia Roberts had a big bum. Especially in "Sleeping with the Enemy" and "Mary Reilly".

I found her personality and character and looks all Pretty. Her weird laugh was cute. It was a different kind of pretty, not usual model looking pretty but girl next door style pretty. I am sure people could find fault in most peoples looks if they really wanted to. I thought Julia made the part her own regardless of looks.

I never had a thing for Julia Roberts, but I think she looks really pretty in this film. And she may not have been a bombshell but she was a nice fit for the role of a prostitute.

Her ass was huge in "Mystic Pizza".

She also has very skinny legs and big kneecaps which is very noticeable in "Erin Brockavich".

Not trying to mean, but when someone is put into movie star status in a movie called "Pretty Woman" and is below average in the looks dept., well it just shows you how Hollywood can market someone/something.

She has a great laugh and can be engaging, but she isn't much to look at.

Agreed. But I have to say, she does have a great smile and pretty eyes, and no other movie showcases them better than this one. At least for me, a -huge- part of attraction comes from a girl's smile & eyes...

That said, I think people should give her a break - she was really young, "in her prime" so to speak, only 22. And looking at her nose in this one...I'm pretty sure she's had rhinoplasty later on. It's subtle, but noticeable.

She was absolutly beautiful in this film, beautiful lips, mouth,cute nose and lovely eyes! Very very pretty. I watch this film even now and am amazed at her beauty.She is still today prob the most beautiful famous woman on the tv.

Either that or our society has become so unbelievably shallow that the bar for being considered attractive has now been set so high that no person can attain it! What a crazy world.
