The first movie is the better of the two, but that's not saying much. You know it's bad when CGI basically carries the movie.

Pennywise is a SHAPESHIFTER. Of course CGI will be needed to bring him out fully.

CGI was used for almost everything in the movie, it was so overdone.

So it is in most movies, but I would prefer CGI to the cheesy animations of the Pennywise/Losers battles in the miniseries, whether it be Pennywise going down that hole in a bad way with light coming out of his fractured head, or the (jesushchrist) awful spider in the second battle. No, give me the Muschietti movie battles every time, especially when the Losers are kids.

Of course it was.

The 2017 movie has largely already been forgotten.

This one has remained popular for over 30 years.
