So did Gere kill that guy's parents?

He seems to imply that he did in one of the last scenes ("your parents are dead"), but did he do it himself? Was it touched upon between that scene and the one in the restaurant before?

reply

Yes, there is a scene where Heather, Dennis Peck's wife, is watching the news and it says that their bodies have been discovered at home. And Peck probably discovered where the Arrocas' lived when he went into the parent's house, which would explain why he is randomly having sex with Tova as Steven Arrocas walks into his house.

Ah, thanks a lot. So Gere killed the parents himself? It seems he was basically a contract killer then...

reply

Yeah, Peck would engage in any despicable manner in order to gain some profit, including night work as a hit man.

I remember that Peck got pissed off when he was offered a measly $15k to do it, and said for that he would get a couple of cheap gang members to do it who would make mistakes and lead the cops right back to the son. So he tells him to go home and think about it and get back to him in a couple of days.

I got the feeling also that he was signalling that he wanted to sleep with the wife as part of the deal, by touching her under the table during the meeting.

The newscast says that the bodies were found near the Hollywood sign.

Snow maniac, hold on i've got a spoon here somewhere.
