So did Gere kill that guy's parents?
He seems to imply that he did in one of the last scenes ("your parents are dead"), but did he do it himself? Was it touched upon between that scene and the one in the restaurant before?

And Peck probably discovered where the Arrocas' lived when he went into the parent's house, which would explain why he is randomly having sex with Tova as Steven Arrocas walks into his house.

shareI remember that Peck got pissed off when he was offered a measly $15k to do it, and said for that he would get a couple of cheap gang members to do it who would make mistakes and lead the cops right back to the son. So he tells him to go home and think about it and get back to him in a couple of days.
I got the feeling also that he was signalling that he wanted to sleep with the wife as part of the deal, by touching her under the table during the meeting.
