Really?! 6.3 Rating?

I'd give
it a ten but
stepping back a
bit and acknowledging
it's flaws, I'd still give it 7.5 - 8.
This movie was like literally taking a comic book
panel by panel, and putting it up on the big screen.

Fantastic dialog and action scenes. Love this film. More
of a comic book film than the first Batman. And it's not based on a comic.

Agree about the rating being too low, definitely. I give it a 9/10.

I give it a solid 8. I think a lot of the low ratings don't take into account that it's deliberately goofy; a superhero version of Evil Dead. I think it's better than any of Raimi's Spider-Man movies.

I gave it a 10.. It's not like Evil Dead at all, Evil Dead is totally goofy, just random cornball zombie pop-ups and running gags, barely sticks to a story.. Darkman has story; drama, romance, action, horror, sci-fi everything. It doesn't insult the viewers intelligence the way Evil Dead does.

I gave it a 8/10.
Great film and Larry Drake as Robert Durant is up there with Kurtwood Smiths Clarence Boddicker as one of the most sadistic villains from the late 80s/early 90s action film era.

reply

I gave it a 7/10 because I like the campy style. I can still see why some people wouldn't care for it.

a solid 7/10 for me... but usually IMDB's rating is always higher than mine so I was really surprise to see that Darkman is only at 6.3... clearly underated!

It's a good movie, but much of it is copying Batman...
