Question about how Doc even gets to meet Clara before she died.

Now, I realize that the mayor came to docs shop and told him that Clara was coming into town but are we to believe that Doc just happened to be roaming around near the ravine to save Clara before she went over the edge in the wagon?

If 1955 Doc’s dog hadn’t have alerted Marty to Doc’s gravestone in 1955 after they drug the DeLorean out of the mineshaft, and if he would’ve used the DeLorean to go back to 1985 like he was supposed to, I don’t believe 1885(1985) Doc would’ve even had a chance to meet Clara because she would have been dead; especially if that was her traveling to the town when she died. The only reason why Doc was even there to save her was because Marty was there, and after he told Doc about his fate, they went to the ravine after they came to the conclusion that using the steam train was going to be the only way that they could push the DeLorean up to the proper speed to get back 1985.

Original 1885 without Marty and Doc interfering.

Clara is travelling to the school house via horses and buckboard. A snake spooks the horses, she goes over and dies in Shonash Ravine. Out of respect, the townsfolk change the name to Clayton Ravine.

First altered 1885 with just Doc.

Clara is never on a buckboard alone because Doc picks her up at the train station. They fall in love at first sight and he's shot at the town festival by Buford. She takes care of his tombstone (Marty and Doc find this in 1955).

Second altered 1885 with both Doc and Marty is a combination of the previous timelines.

Marty arrives after Doc has agreed to pick up the teacher at the station but before the mayor has told him her name (or that it was even a woman i think). Because Marty's arrived and they're making plans of how to get home, he forgets to pick her up. You can actually see her stood on the platform waiting for him behind Marty and Doc while they're stood in front of the map. She's on the buckboard, horses get spooked but Doc is there to save her this time because he was at the track with Marty.
