Never liked Part 3, a big fall in quality after the first 2

Really quite a bad movie after the excellent first 2.

Doc & Clara kinda forced love story was pretty cringe, even back in the day. I prefer I and II as well.

In my estimation, most people have always thought that part3 edges out 2 by a bit.

I've always heard people say they think 2 is the weakest.

Dunno. I hear from people with a great deal of love for Part 2. Personally, I have always found it to be a bit of a joyless, exposition-heavy mess, so I agree that Part 3 edges it out.

I also think, however, that both sequels are fairly weak and unnecessary. The first one is the keeper.

Agreed, here’s the correct rating:

BTTF 10/10
BTTF II 10/10 (it’s not as good as I but both are masterpieces)
BTTF III 7/10

The ‘Wild West’ setting is kinda dull and the Doc/Clara love story is meh. The train stuff is cool but the rest is forgettable.

Part 3 is by far the funniest of the 3. I find 2 the hardest to rewatch.

Same. I judge movies by rewatchability as well as other things. I find 1 and 3 are eminently rewatchable while I find II to be a bit hectic and less fun.

The original film was one of my favorite movie experiences in my life but I didn’t really care for the second. I liked the third movie much more than the second but it can’t match the first.

I hated the second one. While it told a good fable about how not to use time-travel for your own gain, it was horrifying, seeing that alternate future, and the part where Marty has to re-visit 1955 to stop Biff feels like a lazy re-hash of the first movie. That, and the "2015" they showed looked really stupid.

I liked #3 because it was a fun western romp for Marty and Doc, and it was sweet seeing Doc fall in love with Clara. In some ways, it felt like a western rehash of the first film, but it worked as a story.
