Question for those who have read the book...

Timmy Baterman told Jud and the crew assembled to kill Timmy a second time true secrets about themselves.
Judd visited whore houses.
One friend had an unfaithful younger wife.
The other guy was so shady business issues and a family that didn't really care for him.
Later in the book when Gage speaks with Judd, he speaks as Norma Crandall and confesses that she used to cheat on Judd with his friends and that she was the original Backdoor Farrah.
My question is do you think that it was true and Norma did cheat on Judd? Everything else Timmy said checked out so why would this be a lie?
I really hope the remake delves deeper in to the book than the original movie. There are so many details that make the story so rich.

I think it was telling the truth.

Like you said, everything else it told to the other "men-folk" checked out and was true.

Also, like Jud said to Louis:
"It only told the bad. Never the good, just the bad." They were good men, but it only told the bad."

Just as an aside, I love that part of the book. One of the best 'scenes' from Pet Sematary. When the men confront Timmy and his father, that is.

"Old wooden leg! Old wooden leg!"
...
"Shut up!"
...
"Hahaha! Old wooden leg! How they *laugh* at you!" How they *laugh!*"
...
"You shut up!! You just shut up, or I'll knock you down you-you...whatever you are!"

That's creepy. Yeah, I felt they could've worked it in and had him telling secrets. Made them different from zombies.

We all did. Quite the opposite, unfortunately.

I haven't seen the remake and don't plan on it. However, the score in the first film (1989 version) really complimented the atmosphere. I can just imagine what the score was like in the remake...probably that trendy tingling echo that so many modern 'horror' films have.

I just watched it and honestly I couldn't tell you. Whatever it was, it must have been unremarkable!
