It finally dawned on me..the magazine is sticky because ..

He has sap on him from the tree.

I interpreted that the magazine had glue on it as you used to unfold the cologne samples and there was glue on the paper.

It only took me about 25 years to figure this out.

Lol!! Don't you love it when that happens? I had a similar epiphany recently with a movie but now I can't remember what it was... 🤔

Get to get something new out of a movie I've seen over a dozen times.

Lol I knew this right away. I went to school in VA for awhile and at certain times of the year the tables outside would be covered with sap! It would get on everything and everyone. It was so bad we threw out clothes when they got too sticky

I thought it was clear enough but fair enough; there are a bunch of small subtle jokes that play off each other in this franchise without shoving them in your face.

I can relate to a new discovery however -- the one thing that dawned on me upon watching for the xxth time this year was that the woman in red in Clark's pool fantasy scene who strips and skinny dips is the very same woman from the department store who was selling lingerie to Clark.

I honestly don't think I ever realized that previously and assumed she was just a random lady Clark imagined. Or if I had known before I'd completely forgotten about it. Tbqh I kinda half expected it to be the Ferrari lady from the original (Christie Brinkley) as I remembered the gist of the scene but it had been a while.
