For some reason this incident reminds me of this movie. In no way am I trying to make light of the family of the victims of this crash, only pointing out the eerie similarities.

It's funny, but ever since I saw this movie, when I hear of any air disaster, it's the first thing I think of. Not as if it were a real option, but just as a passing thought.

It took over half a century to find Titanic, nd that was in much much shallower waters & Titstanic is over 500x the mass of a plane this size... probably not even hijacked, just a psycotic pilot who decided to commit suicide and take everyone else with him.
