Prime Daniel vs the current Cobra Kai characters

Out of the current crop of karate students (from any dojo) who do you think Daniel could defeat?

Maybe Bert and Mitch, however neither was reduced to tears begging someone to stop their matches. If it came down to mental toughness, they'd win, but it is a toss up.

Hawk? No chance. Hawk is way too athletic, fast, and well rounded. The closest fighter to Mike Barnes, only Hawk doesn't lose his cool like Barnes.

Miguel? Miguel isn't getting caught with the crane kick as he has proven mastery of that technique. His only losses were from cheap shots.

Demetri? Maybe, but Daniel isn't going to outsmart Demetri if it became a cerebral chess match up.

Robby? Not a chance. Robby mastered Miyagi-do and is more athletic than Daniel ever was. It would be like fighting a cool-headed Chozen.

Honestly, I think Daniel would only be able to defeat Devon Lee as she is admittedly inexperienced.

Once again you confuse reality and fantasy.

I know it is a stretch, but I think you are cutting Daniel a little short here. Devon's tough, but I just don't think she currently has the experience to defeat prime Daniel.

Without the corrupt referee Johnson calling his matches, Daniel would have a hard time defeating anybody.

reply

Right. Daniel also fights dirty. He uses an illegal kick to win the tournament. During his rematch with Johnny he uses paralyzing techniques in a non-street match. Unfortunately for Daniel, Johnny started training for dirty fighters and was able to fight off Daniel with one arm.

If it was illegal then how come Miguel uses it in the first season at the All Valley?

Seeing as it wasn't an official match with no qualified officials were the official rules in place? Obviously not or Daniel would have been penalised.

And without the corrupt referee Cobra Kai would have lost the All Valley last time out. See how that works?

Hawk, Robby, and Miguel would absolutely destroy Daniel. Not only have they all been trained in Miyagi style karate, but they are all experts in Cobra Kai karate, which means they know how and when to attack, but can still defend themselves.

With the way Sam was starting to embrace Johnny's style, I could see a way she beats Daniel.

Torrie would be a more interesting match. She wouldn't have the same defensive skills, but she was as explosive as the others. She reminds me the most of Mike Barnes, who is the second most likely candidate to be her father.

I love the original movies, but honestly, I don't think prime Daniel could beat ANY current 'Cobra Kai' characters. Ralph Macchio made for a good and relatable underdog to root for back in the day, but the idea that he could ever actually kick the ass of Johnny, or Chozen, or Mike Barnes, is ridiculous.

Macchio never had the physicality to pull it off when he was young, and he especially can't pull it off today. His fight scenes in 'Cobra Kai' are embarrassing. Billy Zabka would destroy him.

Daniel would have a fight on his hands with Robby, Tori, and Hawk and would probably lose to Miguel.
