Who was worse between Vogel or Donovan?
I've thought Donovan was the worst of the two because he shot Henry Jones Sr. and betrayed Indy, I've personally liked Vogel more because he's the funnier of the two bad guys.

shareDonavon because as Henry Jones said, he betrayed his country to the slime of humanity.
shareThey're both scum.
Vogel for being a Nazi and carrying all the baggage that that association brings, and Donovan because he got in bed with the Nazis.
Donovan is worse because the only thing he cared about was himself. His whole partnership with the Nazis was a means to an end.
shareBoth are bad guys, but in different ways. Vogel is worse in my opinion since he enjoyed hurting and killing people for fun. Donovan's actions are motivated by his passion to obtain the grail. He's not a sadist like Vogel.
shareAnother reason why I think Donovan was the worst is because he shot Henry Jones Sr with a gun.
shareDonovan was worse. Yes, Vogel was a sadistic SOB and a Nazi's Nazi, yet at least he didn't put on an act and stab anybody in the back.
Donovan was a traitor's traitor. Seeing Donavan, an American, wearing a swastika lapel pin was a detail that really was effective in showing how evil his character really was. That and the fact he shot the original James Bond with a Walther PPK really added to how easy it was to hate the Donovan character even more.
I do like that Vogel was at least straight up and honest about what kind of person that he is.
shareEh they were both pretty lame
shareI can't recall a movie where you had 2 villains that were more despicable than them
shareRobocop, Total Recall, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Face/Off, Reservoir Dogs, Licence To Kill, Live And Let Die, I can keep going if you'd like???
shareI don't know. This movie was a masterpiece and to be a masterpiece in this genre you need a great villain or 2 and this one had just that
shareVogel was worse, because he enjoyed violence for the sake of it. To Donovan, violence was a means to an end, not the end in and of itself.
