simular movies..

Gardens of the Night reminded me a lot of this movie at the beginning.
A little girl is abducted in a similar way to Stephen and lied to about her parents not wanting her anymore.

I didn't end up liking Gardens much but if you are looking for something similar to this one it might be worth checking out.

I don't know of any that are overly similar, there is the aforementioned "The Boys of St. Vincent" (as well as the sequel), which deals with child sexual abuse, including the aftermath, there is "Sleepers" which again deals with child sexual abuse as well as the aftermath, and then there is "The Abduction of Zack Butterfield" which follows the kidnapping of a teenage boy.
