If he was insured...maybe?

If he got enough out of an insurance claim to start up a new store, he would likely still want to be his own boss. He'd probably do it in a different location, though...

But if there wasn't any insurance money, or if the claims adjuster bumped it down too much, I think he'd just go get a job working somewhere else.
