Who here liked this better than Terminator?

Its a tough call but I'd say yeah I did.

Theres a bit more to it than a simple chase moie. a lot more dialogue , more buildup getting to know the characters

Me. Better actors, better sfx, one of the greatest villains of all time, more optimistic sci-fi...
And most of all: No idiotic time travel plot.

Terminator was much better than this.
I liked this movie, but it fizzled completely at the end.

Oh fuck no. This movie doesn't come close.

I enjoy them both differently. But Abyss is an absolute favorite of mine for its roller coaster action, and real water set.

The Director's cut of The Abyss was great!

The Terminator was great too.

They are films made at different times by the same director, and with different budgets... different messages too and to different audiences.

The pure SCI FI fan will love both, but kids will probably love the older film more. I appreciated The Abyss a ton more when I was older, and with the better cut of it that was released later.

They are both CLASSIC SCI FI and included in my personal collection.

I do. More than the first one anyway.
