So Apu is offensive, but the other characters are not?

I have never understood the whole Apu thing. There are plenty of other stereotypes on the show. Ralph being one of the more offensive IMO. Is Apu just the starting point for more cartoon characters to be canceled?

Because wokeness is an infection that selectively wants to destroy whatever is convenient to the lefts narrative. Obviously, there are many stereotypes in the simpsons, but you don't get SJW points for getting rid of Cletus "the slack jawed yokel". Mostly because white people have a sense of humor and aren't obtuse to facts. There ARE people like Cletus, just like there are people like Apu.

Apu should never have been hit. Comedian Hari Kondabolu used the character to shore up his own career and unfortunately the wrong people ran with it.

In India, Apu was a very popular character. Ironically, when asked, very few people in India knew who Hari Kondabolu was before this happened.
