What are the most inappropriate scenes/jokes in this show?

Question says it all.

Joking about Moe wanting to kill himself.

I'm not "triggered" but I just think that's a really bizarre joke, lol.

People were upset at S28E01 jokes as well; laser eye surgeon killing himself and Kirk Van Housen getting his limbs chopped off.

reply

I've always felt it was bizarre that they show shots of Lisa's underwear. You can just tell what a quarter of viewers are thinking, cause I've seen their replies.

I believe in the right to bear arms, as long as my arms are the ones that are being beared.

Sneed's Seed and Feed. Formerly Chuck's.

Took me years to get the joke.

reply

I don't get it.
(Chuck's | Sneed's) Seed and Feed.

reply

I used to think that too.

Thanks for the link. I can't believe anyone got the joke! Didn't get it at all.

reply

Thanks, too. After reading that, I did literally laugh out loud.

A similar sign, though not as subtle, was slipped into Much Apu About Nothing (S7, E23). Apu relates how he came to America to attend Springfield Heights Institute of Technology. I immediately started laughing, though it slipped right past the other 20 or so Marines watching it with me.

People just need to stop being so *beep* oversensitive all the time. And stop getting offended about every little thing.

The only person offended on this board is you. I personally don't know people that are oversensitive. Maybe it's time for you to stop scouring the net to get offended by people getting offended.

Holy crap! You are so dumb.
You just told others to stop being offended when no one was!
And now you're going on about "complete strangers who tells me what i feel or don`t feel", lol

reply

I have never found anything in the show all that inappropriate.

One joke that got past the sensors was "Springfield Heights Institute of Technology".

reply

I don't think it is that it 'got past the censors' so much as it was that the joke has been done to death on 1,000 other shows and movies, so the censors were so bored by the cliche that they couldn't bother worrying about it.

I remember back when The Simpsons was unique and original and didn't copy their jokes from every other show in existence.

When Mdartin committed "suicide" by hanging only for the camera to realise he is giving himself a wedgy.

reply

I think some of the suicide “jokes” relating to Moe’s character were disturbing at times
