Who do you side with more, Homer or Frank Grimes?
The writers have said that "Homer's Enemy" is their idea of what would happen if a person from the real world lived in the Simpsons world, but I don't know. I've worked with some lazy people, unintelligent people, unscrupulous people, and people who no matter what never seem to get called on their faults for reasons unclear, (although I'm not sure I've ever seen all of those traits wrapped up in the same individual), and I never snapped to the extent that Grimes did. Then again, I don't have Grimes' intelligence or lifetime of bad luck, so it's hard for me to judge.
Homer, while his stupidity was exaggerated in this episode, at least made an attempt to be friends with Grimes, and while his presentation of his "perfect" life may have felt like a slap in the face, he did not intend it that way.
What does anybody think?
