Favorite police officers on COPS?

Who were your favorite police officers that was featured on the show COPS?

reply

Hands down, Randy Sutton from Las Vegas, Nevada. He was in Casino, plus he busted that window masturbating guy.

reply

Is John Nelson the chubby white guy with the Cajun accent? I liked that segment they did where he was setting up those prostitutes during Mardi Gras.

I finally got to see the episode with the peacewalker guy, and it's like an instant classic. The best part was when the guy told Officer Cook, "He had the nerve to call me George Bush...that's when it went too far" LOL he was pissed about someone calling him GWB. I read that Officer Cook is now a trainer in the academy so its unlikely we will ever see him again in future episodes :(

I also take back bout what I said about female officers. I've been seeing some episodes with Heather Hindi and wow she' a fox. Remind me of Fiona Apple.

And I like the other officer who works at Strip District which is that Black Male Officer (Can't remember name) who caught the minor black female from soliciling prostitution while she claimed that she's waiting for a friend

That was Sgt Tom Jenkins. I remember that ugly yellow jacket he always wears.

I'm actually starting to like the newest seasons...so many hotties

WHO IS HECTOR MOLINA...AND WHY DO THEY KEEP SENDING ME HIS JUNK MAIL?!

reply

The black wagon driver from Independence MO who told the suspect after a chase "This is Independence. We'll chase you til your wheels fall off"

Priceless!

reply

COPS is currently filming in Independence MO and in Des Moines IA and then going to Wichita KS

reply

nice to see COPS go back to the midwest again, Iv'e always liked the Midwest episodes a lot.

reply

I can't believe no one mentioned any of the Lakewood cops, like Joe Kolp and Dan Wulick. No matter how dangerous or stressful it is, they always seem to exercise total control over the situation.

reply

You're right I really like Joe too, cant believe I forgot him. I'm editing my list to include him :) Dan was a bit whiny and pushy at times though.

I also liked Joe Kolp myself, I thought he had a good personality and did a good job with how he handled the situations he went through, I never thought much of Dan Wulick either, of the Pierce County officers I liked the best my vote goes to Shawn McDonald and Bruce Larson of the 1992 episodes, I wish Shawn McDonald and Bruce Larson would have been regulars for the later Pierce County episodes

reply

Hey, was Mike Hoffman married to Linda Canada? I forgot who she got married to...I tried sifting through my season one episodes but its confusing because the format was different and I cant find his name.

I noticed starting from season 20 they don't show the same officers with much regularity anymore. I mean if you look at the older seasons you constantly see the same people. John Corvino and John Guillemette were in seasons 12-16, Randy Sutton was in 3-10, Joe Kolp was around from 13-17, etc.

Since they insist on revisiting the same ****ing cities for the past four seasons, it would be nice if they brought back some of the same officers.

reply

Linda Canada was married to Jerry Wurms, he appeared in one episode where he arrested a white guy in a high drug neighborhood and while the officer was about to handcuff him he bolts off running and Wurms tells the suspect to stop or he's gonna shoot him in the back, I definitely agree that they don't seem to show the same officers with much regularity anymore which really sucks cause you feel like you get to know the officers when they show them regularly and that makes the show more fun and exciting.

reply

LOL I remember seeing that part with Jerry in the intro....do you know what episode that was--dumb question since your probably do :P

I also saw that recently saw the episode where Mike Hoffman was playing Double Dragon with that little kid in the convenience store before he got a call. That was pretty adorable.

That was the episode where the officer did a traffic stop on a guy in a 1970s model Chevy Nova and they found a handgun in the vehicle, it was in the same episode as the episode I've previously mentioned but was featured in another segment, a lot of the old episodes had 2 different segments in the same episodes.

another officer I liked was Stacey Caivano (I believe that was her name) from Lee County, Florida (Season 9), she was the officer who showed up on a restaurant complaint call about a couple being unhappy with their service and they tried to doggy bag the food that was on the buffet menu which was something they weren't allowed to, I liked how calm and professional she acted towards the incident, I think that was the only episode she appeared in

reply

I remember that ep! It sticks in my mind I guess because I work part time as a server and I've seen it happen. That couple not only wanted to doggy bag it, which most managers would have agreed to just to get them the hell out, but they were trying to get out of paying by saying there was something wrong with the food....after eating most of it!

reply

Them trying to get their way out of paying for the food that they've ate most of sure reminded me of the scene on "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" where a customer who ate most of his breakfast demanded a refund, I don't blame the manager for not wanting them to return back to the restaurant, I thought the male patron was a total ass, his wife or girlfriend looked kind of messed up, she looked like a total crackhead judging by her appearance.

Wasn't there a thread where someone complained about the restaurant management stooping low to having consent for the incident filmed on TV? I remember seeing that thread a year or so back

reply

By far Tony Daimano. I was thrilled when they made a full episode dedicated to him called "Jersey Cop" Evan Rosenthal is my 2nd favorite

reply

My college had a female cop. She was real butch. We referred to her a Lesbocop.

reply

Can't believe no one has mentioned Jaime Easton of the Jacksonville PD. Easily th hottest female officer ever on the show. I'd love to be handcuffed by her, if you catch my drift.

reply

I remember Jamie Eason and I remember thinking she was a really pretty officer, I wouldn't mind being handcuffed by her and her patting me down, she also seems like a nice police officer

reply

I'll much rather be handcuffed by Deputy Linda Canada (1st Season Broward Co. FL), now she was the biggest strong female cop ever.

reply

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Officer who bought groceries for the poor guy and his kids. Also, the cop that let the stolen car suspect finish eating his chicken in the interrogation room.

”Deh Deh Deh, DA Dabacco”-Puert Rican dude from the ”I aint your Papi” episode of COPS.

reply

Another officer I liked was Jason Del Air out of San Bernardino County in the Fontana Police Department, he was the officer who arrested a guy who showed up to the liquor store drunk and got into an argument with the liquor store clerk, the drunk was also on parole!

reply

That very handsome guy from the New Jersey episode. His name was Karl Shucai. Why wasn't he on the show more?

Clark's destiny = Superman, Lex Luthor & Lois Lane.

reply

Haha, yes I remember Karl. He made a strangly dramatic entrance in the 'Papi' episode with Cpl Damiano. It was funny how the cameraman filmed his approach. It was dark and raining and he slowly came up with his sleeves rolled up showing off his biceps...

Reading this thread brings back good memories. Sadly I can't say I have any more new officers to add to this list since there really haven't been many cops we see regularly anymore. Or maybe we do and they're just not memorable.

I do like Mark Brownell and Dave Brooks though. They seem to get into funny situations with belligerent/crazy people.

reply

BUMP

Really liked officer Joe Morgan from Des Moines. He was in one of the most memorable and amusing COPS sequences.

He was the officer who was in pursuit of a mini-bike and got his squad car stuck on the railroad tracks. His mannerisms upon seeing a couple trains coming his way were absolutely hilarious. There was some great camaraderie when his fellow officers and captain showed up and they kept making jokes about his situation. It was a nice change of pace for COPS as they showed a lighter side of things you rarely see on the show.

reply

Yeah I like Joe too he seemed like a pretty cool guy and that segment was classic! He's all "oh noooo!"

Two new favorites from the most recent season.

Ryan Riley from Bernalillo County, NM. He was in a couple with one he was going after a guy that was shooting kids with a bb guns. He seems really relaxed and even after the guy is getting hostile with him and arguing he's just like "Whatever man" and slams the car door on him. Plus he's really handsome with an incredibly sexy voice...

Jim Cooney from Springfield, MO. He's been in two of my favorite segments...one where the drunk guy is threatening the young couple with a knife because they were smoking weed and the other where the druggie tried to assault the transsexual in the wheelchair. I noticed he's always making funny random condescending aside comments at the perp's expense. I love would to ride along with him one night.

Random note: I was VERY shocked to see a fairly recent episode that had Officer Jeff Crenshaw. I was like damn he's still around??? O_o

reply

Another police officer I liked was Nate Oliver from Cleveland, Ohio (Season 6), I like his sense of humor and his personality and he knows to lighten things up in all situations.
