John Rambo or John Matrix?

I think Matrix would kick Rambo's ass!

That's a tough one, i'd say matrix but he only had one movie where rambo had 4...I'd rather see them team up and those two together could destroy every movie villian ever to appear on screen!

tony montana can kill them both, all he needs is enough coke to keep him going.... plus he was in the better movie

Rambo definitely. He's a merciless killer. Matrix has a daughter and clearly has a weakness.

As others have said, Matrix has something to lose while Rambo has nothing to lose. I tend to agree also with above posts that Matrix would probably have the upper hand one on one hand to hand combat, guerilla warfare I don't think it's a contest, Rambo is simply the best at that kind of stuff in the jungle.

Overall, because of Rambo's resourcefulness and expertise, I'd have to give him the slight edge over Matrix.

Um sorry but there isn't a fight in the world that Rambo loses. The only way it would even last for a full 2 hour movie is if every character Arnold ever played teamed up against Rambo, then at least it would be a fair fight. Rambo takes on whole countries, including his own, not just some low budget out of shape mercenary hiding in a resort mansion.
I don't think John Matrix by himself could even take down John Spartan.

Yeah but what would brian boitano do?

Did i say death camps? I meant happy camps!!!!

I like it when you pissants try to talk tough, it makes me laugh. If Matrix were here he'd laugh too.

Both have flaws and weaknesses. Rambo is 'THE BEST' for any situation and has started several of his own wars. When angered he's the ultimate one man army and like he say in Rambo III "Your worst nightmare!". But he also shows fear, pain and often needs assistance when the chips are down. Matrix is a confident killer. He know from the very start of Commando that he's gonna kill every last one of the terrorist to save his daughter. He doesn't flinch, never shows fear, has inifinate ammo, can break a padlock with his barehands and eat Green Berets for breakfast!!!

I can't choose, all I know is, it would be a very, VERY intense battle. But if they ever teamed up, lord have mercy for whoever they're up against :D

Ebert described John Matrix as a cross between Rambo and Superman which I think is a fairly accurate assesment.

The point is though that John Matrix pulls of feats that are pretty much superhuman. From his impeccable aim with automatic weapons to his ridiculous endurance that allows him to survive a drop from airplane with no parachute and a grenade blast which was just a few feet away. But let us not forget his superhuman strength that lets him throw off a dozen mall cops who were right on top of him or when he threw a pipe so hard that it pierced the baddie nd went straight through to the other side.

Matrix is stealthy to as he snuck round one of the outposts and he managed to get right behind his former CO and nab his handgun.

The only thing I'll give Rambo over Matrix is his ingenuity.

But overall I think Matrix would just obliterate Rambo.

Thunder from the "Thunder Warrior" movies would take them both.

Matrix is more cartoon-like indestructible than Rambo. Funny comparison though. I'll have to say it's a push. How about we throw "Dutch" from Predator into the argument. Like Matrix he enjoys a good one liner.

On a different note - instead of AVP, they should have made a Terminator vs Alien. I know, wrong thread. Enjoy the discussion...
