In the defense of the Howling IV, this was the only sequel that was even romotely close to the three novels written by Gary Brandner. It was based off of the first novel. I really enjoyed this one. It was by far better than the Howling III, which was crap!
shareI've watched the first four, and so far I haven't hated a single one of them. None of the sequels have been as good as the original of course, but all of them have been enjoyable in their own ways. I'm thinking this series is pretty good for what is supposed to be "the worst horror franchise of all time" (I've heard several people call it that). But maybe I just enjoy bad movies, I don't know.
