Director choice for a live action re-make ? (Btw I hate remakes/reboots)

Well, if it were to get the good ol’ western treatment, then Denis Villeneuve would easily be my choice. He’s one of the best visual storytellers today — or of all time already (Blade Runner 2049 is further confirming that, if you will).

It would interesting to see how it could turn out with Hayao Miyazaki directing it though (a live-action version alright).

How about the coked-up producer at Warner who thought this was a good idea in the first place? Let him shoulder the blame for such an abhorrent concept.

I am opposed to making this live action. I think it will not translate well. .... but I'll play.

( Maybe give Tony Gilroy a shot at it too. I liked what he did with the Renner Bourne movie)

Jordan Peele was (briefly) attached to direct right after Get Out came out, so maybe he would've done a good job.

George Lucas. A lot of his movies have fast cars/motorcycles/Speederbikes so he would make the bike sequences well.
