Let it die ... one of the worst of Schwarzenegger's action movies

Ugh, I saw this movie when it came out, and after Terminator, Arnold was making so many action movies, each one a little lower a little worse. He was lucky with Terminator, and just tried to push his luck too far.

Comedies? Arnold made comedies? No, I agree, but I did like Kindergarten Cop, which I thought was cute.

Junior was the worst arnold film. I have yet to watch that movie in its entirety.

But I loved Jingle All The Way, and Twins is fun to watch every now and then. Danny Devito!

reply

I OWN THEM ALL...JUNIOR IS DEFINITELY THE ONLY ONE I DO NOT REWATCH REGULARLY.

reply

As far as I'm concerned! Junior never existed 😁

reply

I liked most of his comedies, but I think Twins is my least favorite.

If you haven't already you should watch Maggie. He is awesome in it and it's a decent movie. It's not an action or comedy movie, it's a kind of drama / horror movie.

Movie is great, why don't you let your awful opinion die?

reply

All my wrong opinions are dead ... so it must just be you have terrible taste in movies.

reply

For me, The Running Man hasn't quite stood the test of time. However, it is a long way from being a bad movie. It can still be an entertaining watch if taken for what it is; a couple of hours entertainment.

reply

This is my second favorite Arnold movie. Next to Predator of course!

reply

Ugh, both terrible.

reply

You clearly lack taste, my friend!

Arnold needs good directors to shine. His best movies with James Cameron (terminators) and John McTiernans (Predator). James Camerons especially got best out of arnolds. They know his strengths. Other directors don't! Arnold stink with bad directors!

Running Mans is ok. Meediocre. Not bad.

I have big nostalgias for 80s films, even krap ones with arnold, I still get good feelings! How can I explain?

This is nowhere near one of the worst Arnie movies. Raw Deal, Conan The Destroyer, Red Sonja, Jingle All The Way, End Of Days, Terminator 5-6 are all much worse.

Hell until the last 15 minutes or so The Running Man was at least good mindless fun. It didn’t get bad until they ran into Mic Fleetwood. And for all it’s faults we at least got one of the most epic Arnie quotes ever: “You cold blooded bastard, I’ll tell you what I think of it, I live to see you eat that contract but I hope you leave enough room for my fist because I’m going to ram it into your stomach and break your goddamn spine”

I love it. Richard Dawson as the host, the awesome one liners, the gladiator killers, the ridiculous game show concept; it's cheesy as hell, but they know it and run away with it.

reply

I think that this is one of his best. It's not Terminator/Predator level, but it's a great sci-fi companion movie to Total Recall, which I also love.

reply

Total Recall is good ... most of AS's second rate action movies are pretty bad. One step up from unwatchable ... maybe a 3/5. This one is a 2/5.
