Woody's best ever?
I've seen everything he's ever acted in or directed, several times, and this movie keeps rising to the top. It's definitely my favorite.
Anyone else agree?

This is by far my favorite of any Woody's movies. I am not what you would call a fan of his and I love this movie.
"Mother Puss Bucket" ...Dr. Peter Venkman
I love Woody Allen's movies (his comedies, not so much his oh-so-serious dramas) and I can say "Radio Days" is easily my favorite one. It is sweet, warm, is laugh-out-loud funny, the characters are all lovable and the soundtrack is irresistable. And as I am a sucker for nostalgia, how could "Radio Days" not be favorite? Wonderful movie.
shareI have seen RADIO DAYS-87' not so long ago at your recommendation Mr. Drink. It was on you tube and not a very good quality version. I found it quite charming. I would have to view it again; but I think that THE PURPLE ROSE OF CAIRO-85' is wonderful and even better, with a sad ending that also fits perfectly into the times and era it portrays. I also like SWEET AND LOWDOWN-99', Sean Penn is terrific and even sublime.
It is hard to say what is Allen's best, because he covers so many different eras, places, themes and it becomes all subjective. I would say it depends on what one connects with and relates too. I rate INTERIORS-78' as my favorite of his, however I would be in a minority here. ANNIE HALL-77' would be my favorite contemporary comedy of his.
Exorcist: Christ's power compels you. Cast out, unclean spirit.
Destinata:💩
I do, it's my favorite Woody Allen movie as well.
shareone of my favs for sure When there's no more room in hell, The dead will walk the earth...
Best? I don't know. It is my favorite, no question. In fact, it is my favorite movie of all time. I never get tired of it.
shareI've always thought I was in a minority in having this opinion. I've seen everything Woody Allen has directed, since watching Take the Money and Run in a movie theater (kids, look it up). He made this at the end of what seems now to be his greatest period, from Annie Hall to about Hannah and Her Sisters, and it almost perfect in combining humor and a real sense of characters, time, and place. You don't have to remember the era of radio to feel the sense of loss and nostalgia.
