Two things I find interesting in the first 20 minutes of the movie

First time watching it (found it on netflix)

1. Stallone has never met his son but hangs out and is well known at a bar not 10 minutes away. What a deadbeat dad.

2. His son accuses him of hustling the guy at the bar when he beat him in his first match. How exactly did Stallone do any hustling? He was challenged, accepted, and won. Is his son mentally handicapped?

On #1, it wasn’t clear that it was 10 minutes away. Could have been 3 hours?

And he had picked his son up from that graduation ceremony. It’s unclear where that graduation ceremony was. It may not have been at home.
