Any other guilty pleasure movies you like?

I also like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990, the first movie, the second not so) and Super Mario Bros. (the 1993 film). Do you have any other similar cult films?

That's awesome you mentioned Killer Klowns from Outer Space! I really liked that movie as a kid, and most people have no idea what it is. That movie and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes are super cheesy guilty pleasures most have never heard of, but are really funny films. It's great how the alien clowns go around turning people into cotton candy with their Ray guns. Classic.

The more I think about it, the less I consider Masters of the Universe a 'guilty pleasure'. I reckon it's a legitimately good film. It's a got a good story, some bad ass action scenes (really full on for a PG) and some memorable characters and dialogue. Anyone of any age can appreciate it since it's not babyish/juvenile, it's actually mature film that isn't afraid to take risks (Julie and her parents subplot).

Instant cassettes. They're out in stores before the movie is finished

No, it is just a bad film from the 1980s.

And having been there are the time - although just having seen this - I am qualified to comment.

I don't regret waiting 28 years to see it and am extremely doubtful - barring coercion - that I will be seeing it again in the next 28.

There were good films and television from the 80s and this isn't among them.

So am I, and I think it's a good movie.

I am Djour Djilios. could you spell that please? I don't think so. Try it with a "D".
