Favorite Sketch?
I always liked how it would go to different sketches and then the old man would come out and scream "Selma!!!!!"

share"Was Jack the Ripper really a 60-foot sea monster from Scotland? Did I take this job for a quick buck? We may never know the answers to these questions."

"Ever seen a shirt make a phone call?"
Amazon WOmen on the Moon was my favorite sketch. I loved that they had office supply chair onboard and the moon was hung by a string.
I loved Don Simmons.
I loved Bullsht or Not, and they did an excellent job imitating those cheap reinacment shows. Every time Henry SIlva came on, I was in hysterics.
"Nearer my Go....." The Titanic sinking "preview" is funny too. :)
sharethe lizard as the space creature
the invisible man, when he knocks off the chess game pieces and all the folks in the pub just go along with him "Oh me, it must be the invisible man"

I need to watch this film again. My mind is all jumbled with scenes from similar films like Kentucky Fried Movie and UHF. I feel so ashamed.

Thanks for the info!

My fave sketch will always be "Mondo Condo", Arsenio Hall trips me out in that one. When he opens up a can of soda or beer and shoots all in his face, his necktie getting caught in the garbage disposal, plugging up the VCR and getting the hell shocked out of him, etc.

Jack The Ripper sketch
shareI have to go with "Critics Corner," in which Siskel & Ebert types give a bad review to the life of an ordinary schnook. Very satirical, ahead of its time...accurately predicts how media has now invaded our personal lives...You Tube, etc. Archie Hahn is great...he's also the corpse in "Roast Your Loved One."
shareI loved "Titan Man" ,the boy trying to buy condoms. Kelly Preston really looked hot in the sketch.
shareYeah, because it is the same character-Harvey Pitnik.
shareWell, I love the Silly Pate segment for one reason. Ira Newborn appears in it as one of the party guests. He is my cousin, and a great guy. In fact, the age he was at the time he did this film is how old I am now!!!!
shareAt least once a month, my cousin comes over and borrows my copy of Amazon and shows it to her friends. She says they always just watch Mondo Condo over and over and over again. I feel a little guilty, and you never see the critics mention that sketch, I think because there is at least a hint of racism, but when Arsenio plugs the VCR in, I fall out....laughing.
shareHow is it racist? The fact that the guy's black has no effect whatsoever on the sketch. It's not part of what makes it funny.
shareNo love for Monique Gabrielle as the Playhouse Plaything?

Fight the storm.
Son of the Invisible Man and First Lady of the Evening are great.
shareMondo Condo, B S or Not, Don "No Soul" Simmons, the Roast Your Loved One, and for soem reason the Smithsonian, "We've lost our lease!" are my faves. I'm watching it again, but only got half way through last night.
The ones that fall flat for me are the lost baby, background check, Son of the Invisible Man, Silly pate, and the kid getting condoms.
I've seen this on VHS many tomes back in the day when it first came out, and bought the DVD about 5 years ago.
First Lady of the Evening. The "Easy to read with NO big words" topped it off.
Pethouse Plaything. Her voice kills me every time. "I can hardly believe its me!"
Video Date. The whole payoff is perfect. "I only did it to hurt you!"
Bulls*it or Not? "Did Nessie kill 5 London Streetwalkers before turning back to Loch Ness?" HILARIOUS. Love the hooker's accent and the sounds of the wheels squeeking on Nessie "dont you be stepping on me feet now!"
